AU Small Finance Bank has introduced a new credit cards product, marking a significant breakthrough in the credit card sector. According to a press release, AU Small Finance Bank has introduced LIT, the first customizable credit card on the market.
According to AU Bank, the LIT (Live-It-Today) Credit Card gives customers a special value proposition by allowing them to select the features and duration they desire.
When introducing the Customisable Credit Card, AU Bank issued the following statement: “While credit card firms provide consumers with appealing goods in a variety of categories, it is frequently challenging for users to locate a single card that combines all of these characteristics. They are consequently forced to choose a number of credit cards with specialized category rewards, such as travel cards to maximize travel-related spending or co-branded cards to purchase on particular e-commerce platforms. Customers can choose from all of these advantages on one card thanks to the LIT Credit Card, which is offered by the Bank. Additionally, users have the choice to turn these functionalities on or off in accordance with their shifting lifestyle needs.”

Customers can choose to have one or two lounge accesses per quarter.
Benefits of Milestones: Increased reward points or cash backs.
-OTT & Lifestyle Memberships: These allow them to sign up for a variety of platforms and services at no cost.
-Accelerated Rewards (Online/Offline): For POS and online purchases, customers can earn more reward points.
The LIT Credit Card has five different feature categories, such as Other Features, which waives fuel surcharges and offers rewards on groceries among other things.
“At AU Bank, we have always believed in disrupting the status quo by leveraging technology and innovation to bring the change that the banking sector needs,” said Sanjay Agarwal, MD & CEO, in response to the launch. We launched a credit card portfolio last year as the first Small Finance Bank to help our clients. As time went on, we noticed that Gen Z and digitally savvy consumers required more control over the items they used. As a result, the customized LIT Credit Card, which combines the benefits of multiple credit cards onto a single card, came into being.

Is My Debit Card Customizable?
A number of card services are currently provided by AU Bank, but the inclusion of the LIT Credit Card will allow it to better adapt to the changing needs of a generation of knowledgeable consumers who are familiar with the digital world. Can My Debit Card Be Customized?
AU Bank unveiled its initial selection of credit cards last year. Since then, the bank has successfully signed up over 2.3 lakh credit card users from more than 200 districts in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, the bulk of whom are first-time cardholders “the AU Bank statement stated.
What Credit Cards Are Customizable?
Discover and a few subprime credit card issuers offer customized card possibilities, as was already indicated. The guidelines for customization for other significant credit card companies are as follows:
- American Express now offers customization on two of its well-known cards: the American Express® Gold Card, where you can select between the traditional gold color and the new rose gold option, and the American Express® Platinum Card, where you can select between three designs, including the classic Platinum design.
- Custom credit or debit cards are not permitted by Citi.
- All that Capital One and U.S. Bank provide are possibilities for personalized debit cards. Recently, Capital One stopped allowing customers to personalize their credit cards. In the past, cardholders had the option of uploading their own image or selecting one of the bank’s many available designs.
- Existing customers with specific credit and debit cards are eligible for a Card Design Studio® from Wells Fargo. According to Wells Fargo, the Propel American Express®, Cash Wise, The Private Bank, and Wells Fargo Advisor cards are among the credit cards that are not eligible for customization. Cardholders who qualify may upload an image or pick from a selection of patterns.
- Only the Disney co-branded cards offered by Chase are customizable. Upon opening an account, cardholders have the option of more than 10 Disney character designs.
- Several co-branded cards from Barclays allow personalization, such as the NFL Extra Points Credit Card, for which applicants can select the logo of their preferred NFL team.
- Customization is also possible with some plastic business cards; it only relies on the issuer’s capabilities. Although we can understand that providing specifically created cards for each user would be quite the job, it’s unfortunate that more credit card issuers don’t provide this service.
Can Your Credit Card Be Customized?
This depends on the card you now own or plan to obtain.
Yes, if you have a Discover card. Maybe if you have a Wells Fargo card. Only if you select The Platinum Card® or the American Express® Gold Card if you have an American Express card.
Every credit card company has unique requirements for personalization. You may obtain a customized debit card from the vast majority of big banks and even the occasional credit union. It’s kind of odd that credit cards don’t have access to this capability yet debit cards do.
