Banking is one of those fields which come with various opportunities for those college graduates, fresh out of college. Of course, irrespective of their performance with the degree course, they may also be required to sit for a bank recruitment exam depending on the post that they would prefer to apply for. But if the student happens to be really keen on banking, then they would be well advised to opt for a banking course, after the completion of their undergraduate degree. There are also short term courses which do not bar students, graduate, or not, from enrolling for the course.

 What are the different banking courses currently available?

At the moment, any student can enroll for the MBA in finance and banking or enroll themselves for M com In banking and finance. There are also several other courses available which can provide the student with a chance to specialize in one field or the other. They can also go in for a PGDM in banking management which is a diploma course as well as several other courses which can provide the student with the edge they need before they sit in for their recruitment exams. It should be pointed out that if the student has obtained a masters degree then they may be exempt from sitting for the recruitment exam, provided their academic performance to date has been good.

What is the basic eligibility for these courses?

When it comes to these banking courses, especially the MBA and M.com, the student is required to appear for the common admissions test or CAT, which is conducted yearly once. And based on the score attained in the test and the student’s academic performance to date, they would be enrolled for the course. Please note that before the student is enrolled for the course, they would still be required to clear group discussion as well as clear their personal assessment and interview. Please note that most of the banking courses require at the minimum for the student to be a graduate with at least a 50% aggregate, as far as academic courses go. As far as fees are concerned, this can differ from one particular course to the other.
